THE CAMPUS The Training Program in Membrane Biology, based at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, is part of one of the country's first centers for professional education. The School of Medicine has for more than a decade been the fastest growing medical school in the nation in terms of research. The 32 acre University of Maryland, Baltimore campus also includes the Dental School, the Schools of Law, Nursing, Pharmacy and Social Work, the Graduate School, the University of Maryland Hospital, a branch of the University of Maryland Biotechnology Institute, and Health Sciences Library, pictured here. Opportunities abound for faculty and students to join with other health and human service professionals in interdisciplinary study, clinical practice and research. And the campus is in walking distance to Baltimore's Inner Harbor, one of the premiere civic developments in the country, and to many of Baltimore's most attractive (and affordable!) residential neighborhoods.
